Fuck Anti-Vaxxers.
Over 120 thousand people in the UK have been killed by COVID-19. That’s over 120 thousand parents, friends, children, grandparents, siblings, lovers all dead, and an immeasurably higher number of people left grieving and heart-broken. Yet some sycophants have the fucking nerve to pretend that COVID-19 isn’t real; overwhelmingly petit-bourgeois (academic talk for ‘rich twats’) and almost entirely white, these dickheads are more concerned about their businesses, or their access to luxury and comfort, than they are about other people’s lives. This total apathy to the needs of others goes beyond the utter depravity of denying the existence of COVID, it even extends to offering a hand to anti-semites, fascists and whatever scumbag is willing to help them push forward their twisted agenda.
As mentioned earlier, these fuckers are loaded; this means that they can afford to print a seemingly unending number of stickers that they proceed to stick in every conceivable (and inconceivable) place. I can’t go for a five-minute walk these days without having to stop and tear their shit down, often exactly where I’ve had to tear shit down before. A quick look at the bollocks they’re putting up will tell you that their bigotry knows no bounds; these anti-vax fuck-wits are telling people to read David Icke, a renowned anti-Semite, and watch Info-Wars, an online show so aggressively offensive that it has been booted off almost every major platform. The main group behind the stickers, the ‘White Rose’ (they’re zealously Catholic, but seem to have forgotten that ‘Love Thy Neighbour’ is the greatest commandment.) blogs extensively about anti-Semitic (when arseholes like this say “Globalists”, they mean Jewish people) conspiracies; they nearly give their game up and reveal their lies through their sinophobia- “The virus doesn’t exist, but, if it does, it’s a Chinese Bioweapon!” is hardly a convincing argument. Of course, the most blatant of the anti-vaxxers’ bigotry is their ableism; their bullshit propaganda makes it loud and clear that they don’t give one single shit about the lives of those with pre-existing conditions that make COVID-19 more threatening.
Sometimes, the anti-vax crowd decide that it’s worth the risk of getting close to us peasants, and decide to amble out in a march, booze in hand, to scream about ‘freedom’. Mate, we’re Anarchists, don’t fucking preach to us about freedom; we both hate the government, but we hate all governments, you just hate this racist government for not being racist enough. Your ‘freedom’ is the freedom to sit on your arses whilst us lower classes serve your every beck and call until we get sick and die from the pandemic you pretend isn’t happening- fuck that! On these anti-vax (un-)’freedom’ marches, fascism, which has been nursing its wounds in the UK since the collapse of the EDL, has begun to creep out of the shadows and rear its ugly head once more- this time, it’s dressed up as Uncle Sam after being thoroughly Amerikanised through its admiration of Trump and his QAnon cult. Gadsden flags (‘The ‘Don’t tread on me’ flag, named after a slave-owner) and MAGA hats, both humorously nonsensical outside of an Amerikan context, are common sights at anti-vax marches; one of these marches in Cardiff passed by a recent Palestine Solidarity demo, which a couple of self-professed ‘Proud Boys’ (A violent reactionary group linked to a number of racist attacks in Amerika) decided to harass before being chased off by the angry crowd. Another anti-vaxxer attempted to persuade us of the ‘unity’ of our causes- unity with a bunch of bigots? You can take that unity, butt, and shove it where the sun don’t shine.
As fun as it is to mock these losers, we can’t afford to forget how dangerous they are. If they get into power, it means the death of thousands, if not millions of people, and, even if they don’t, there still remains the risk of isolated acts of terrorism, particularly against Muslim, Jewish and Asian communities. They must be opposed by all means necessary; destroy or subvert their propaganda, heckle their protests and organise counter-demos, let them know that they’re not fucking welcome here. Fuck their anti-Semitism, fuck their racism, fuck their ableism, fuck their lies and their anti-vax bullshit, and get them the fuck off our streets!
